Hi guys, with the release of new AMD 2000 series APU's today I expect an uptick in BIOS releases to fix issues as they pop up. I'll do my best to keep everyone in the loop and up to date. Lets start off with some baseline info to get everyone up to speed.
Most boards have F10 & F20 which supports Raven Ridge APU's. The AB350N-Gaming WIFI has T20H which included a SMU fix that seems to have improved performance slightly (20 points or so in multi-threaded cinebench scores).
AGESA - F10 used AGESA 1.0.7.2A. As of F20 the AGESA numbering has been reset to 1.0.0.0 per AMD. T20H uses 1.0.0.0a which includes the SMU fix. There is already some confusion in the industry over the version numbers. So to be clear, as of right now, here is what's out there:
- 1.0.0.0 - First Release
- 1.0.0.0a - Added SMU fix
I expect new AGESA code fairly regularly like we experienced with AM4 first launched.
Known issues / working on:
- iGPU overclocking not sticking / being applied
One thing to keep in mind - If your system is already dialed in and memory is working I don't recommend flashing it. The upcoming updates are going to focus around Raven Ridge bugs and support. If you have a Ryzen 1800/1700 and aren't having issues I would stay put.
